Projection

PROJECTION EXERCISE

Doing the Projection Exercise supports creating the happiness I seek in relationship.

1. Pick someone you are having difficulty with.

2. Imagine this person standing at a distance in front of you, or ask someone who could represent this person to stand in front of you. (Could even be "the person").

3. Look at the person's eyes and feel what your biggest judgment of this person is

4. Say out loud "My projection on you is ..................." (fill in the blank).

5. Pull the projection back to yourself.

6. Notice how you are like this in some way.

7. Describe how you see this characteristic in yourself.

8. Put your hand on your body where you feel this in yourself and notice the sensation.

9. Feel how this projection separates you.

10. Feel the wall of pain between you.

11. Ask yourself "Would I rather keep my projection and stay behind this wall of pain or would I step through the pain and join the other?" ("would I rather be right or happy?").

12 If you are willing, step forward and join your friend, feeling how you are the same.
