      Our Experience of The Millennium Event (Our story with additional small photos)

  1. Sun rises on new millennium over Somatheeram Ayurvedic Beach Resort
  2. The fishermen turn out six days a week to set nets and haul in the catch
  3. The Catholic church and shrine to Mary on the beach nearby
  4. Bunny with our gracious hosts at Somatheeram and Manaltheeram
  5. A variety of cottage accomodations at the resorts
  6. Bunny and Jane have their heads shaved - newborn for the millennium
  7. The grounds keepers and security guards always have a ready smile
  8. Bunny with a few of the superlative Doctors and staff of the Ayurvedic Clinic
  9. A Kathakali performance is a real treat as is watching the face make-up beforehand
  10. Christmas eve is celebrated with a nativity, stars, and a dance shared by early arrivals for the seminar
  11. Kovalam Beach is a sensual delight - a 20 minute drive from the resort
  12. Evening performances of violin, tabla, flute, and chanting are enjoyed while dining
  13. A colourful welcome to our Psychology of Vision millennium Event
  14. The conference hall built especially for us accomodates 200 plus participants
  15. We loved the open air hall - the children were thrilled with the sand floor

  17. The restaurant inside and out at Somatheeram
  18. The chefs and waiters give superb food and service (and dance wildly too)
  19. Enjoying the luncheon buffet
  20. An afternoon at the beach playing and lounging is a daily joy
  21. The beach is a great place to meet and chat
  22. Classical dancers entertain us on New Year's eve
  23. We are touched by a Hawaiian chant and poem
  24. This dance is a moving experience
  25. The children imaginatively enact a cobra dance
  26. The Taiwanese men show their stuff (and so does the masked woman show her stuff)
  27. The New Year's Eve Burning Bowl Ceremony
  28. We let the past go up in flames
  29. We celebrate this 50 year re-commitment
  30. Spectacular fireworks ring out the old and bring in the new
  31. The stage is set to welcome 2000
  32. This group really enjoys a good dance
  33. Bunny and Jane and good friends "feel good"
  34. Father Bernadine and his many children at Bethsaida Hermitage share an afternoon service with us
  35. Happy participants - two more happy to have shaved their heads

  43. The Austrians snap and sing their hearts out for Chuck's birthday
  44. A triple wedding moves our hearts and souls
  45. More happy couples (note crystal bowl playing in lower left - another present for Chuck)

  48. The tailor, fruit vendor, and temple elephant add colour
  49. A trip to Amaji's in Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram) and the streets of Bombay (Mumbai)
  50. A fitting end to a wonderful event

Photographs were taken with Sony Mavicap MVC-F91 digital camera mostly using Standard setting
Photos were all sized to 5.2 inches height and a few were gamma corrected (made lighter or darker)using Graphics Converter program.
Photographs (most) were also available in Email mode (smaller file size).
Some photos were digital photographs of regular photos.
