  17. The Marqueses, Tahitian, and Samoan villages share their cultures and coconut bread with us
  18. The Fijian chief performs and welcomes us to his village
  19. Participating in the games and observing palm frond weaving of fish and birds
  20. The Alii Luau - line up, welcome, opening the imu and removing the roast pig and displaying the menu
  21. The spectacular night show at the Polynesian Cultural Center
  22. The performers and musicians give their best
  23. Can they quench the fire with their grass skirts before they are burned up?
  24. The Samoan fire thrower outdid himself and cools off before signing programs
  25. Unity Church service closing and Richard Levy who gave a stirring sermon
  26. The Hotel Coral Reef in Kapaa, Kauai - oceanfront accommodations with a picnic on the grounds
  27. The four of us give this place thumbs up
  28. The Kilauea Lighthouse and Wildlife Refuge - eyeing a group of Boobies in the trees

  31. A gourmet organic vegetarian dinner at Postcards Cafe in Hanalei - 5 stars

  35. Lunch with Katie Cassel who coordinates volunteers at Koke'e State Park - Kay M's granddaughters volunteered
  36. A break in the clouds allowed us a look into this verdant valley at Kalalau Lookout

  38. Beautiful Poipu Beach - the perfect place for a picnic and dip
  39. The lineup in Honolulu waiting for our plane to Molokai - isn't that a snazzy vehicle for these 4 dames?
  40. Comfortable accommodations in this garden setting by the sea - a ringside seat at dinner for the sunset
  41. The beginning of our experience of Kalaupapa and Father Damien’s service to those with leprosy interred here
  42. We were entertained and educated by Richard, the sheriff of Kalaupapa and proprietor of Damien Tours
  43. Numerous cemeteries and memorials dot the peninsula attesting to the devastation of Hansen's disease
  44. Father Damien, his church and gravestone - a testament to courage, conviction, and compassion
  45. The imposing cliffs, an intertwined banyon and date palm tree, rock wall, heiau, and bay at Kalaupapa
  46. The protestant church seen through the tinted bus window - a sepia tone from the turn of the century
  47. A reclaiming of Hawaiian culture - restoration of a fishpond, one of many on the east coast of Molokai
  48. Pu'u Honua O Honaunau, the Place of Refuge, on the Big Island - a canoe shed with fish"net"
  49. A turtle makes its way back to the sea after a sun on the sand
  50. We savor the peace and forgiveness which is palpable in this refuge - and appreciate another beautiful day
  51. Aloha and farewell from this wonderful island adventure
